One tough assed week, masses of work on, moving house all while approaching week 9 of my comp prep is tbh brutal.
If you're considering entering a bodybuilding competition prepare yourself.. Its nothing like just a cut, nothing.. .. You need to realise that. It will put a strain on every aspect of your life, relationships, work, home life... Everything.
Prepare for insane hunger that never goes away, a body that aches and complains daily... You will lose the love of lifting.... You'll need to force yourself to keep going, day in, day out no matter how bad you feel.
You will experience horrendous lows but equally massive highs with little in between, you'll need support, guidance and understanding from your coach and your loved ones.
Expect those that don't understand the process to look at you like you're mad, they will say you look ill, not understand why you can't 'even eat a piece of fruit'! Its a long, tough process and I've made it even harder by moving halfway across the country and starting a new career at the same time, I'm exhausted, I'm often emotional but damn am I focused and nothing will stop me from getting on that stage and reaping the rewards from my sacrifices 💪💪 Its an old cliché but nothing in this life worth having comes easily, if you want something badly enough you'll do whatever it takes, trust me.. That rings true with bodybuilding, business, family, education... .. Everything, pick your goals, get support and chase it down relentlessly day in day out. When you hit a low, and you will, remember why you want this, suck it up and move on, never quit, keep moving forwards no matter what and get what you deserve.
